My Responsibilities
Create visual motifs that can represent the identity of the high-end hotel, and can be applied easily to stationaries.
My Impact
The visual motif have been used in the spare parts of the hotel, including greeting card, key card, loyalty card and shopping bag, and were saved by customers as collection.
Silks Club is a new-opened five-star hotel in Taiwan, which is famous for the dynamic installation art made by the ART+COM studios. I am the one and only designer who is responsible for building up the brand identity from scratch.
Concept 01
A series of gradient spheres were designed to represent the dynamic movements of the installations and the wax and wane of the moon.
Concept 02
Inspired by stamps of Chinese culture, the characters S and C represent the hotel, as a metaphor for stamping the service in customers’ hearts.
Concept 03
Inspired by the art sculpture as well, the dots and lines to create three-dimensional S and C to express that customers will experience impeccable sensational experience in the hotel.
Concept 04
Redesigned the English character “S” into the Chinese character “ 晶 ”, which means elite and exclusive.
Concept 05
Redesigned the characters S and C, and reformed the lines to be as curved as water drops to symbolize harmony and fullness.
Drew the outlines of “Silks Club” with different sized dots and lines, creating a visualization that corresponded with the art pieces and the spirit of the hotel.
Concept 06
Final Design
We want to deliver the hotel image at first glance of the visual design. The pattern can show not only the dancing particles, but also have the name of the newly-opened hotel jump out in a lively way.
